About the Speakers:
Moderator: Cynthia Brumfield - Ms. Brumfield is Director of the Communications Media Analysis Group at P&F. Ms. Brumfield joined P&F with the company’s acquisition of broadband media consulting firm, Broadband Intelligence, which she founded in 1999. Ms. Brumfield is a veteran mediaand communication industry analyst, having served as a Senior Analyst at Paul Kagan Associates, V.P. of Research and Policy Analysis at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association and Director of Research for The Media Institute.

Greg Butz - Mr. Butz serves as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, for Comcast Online, the high-speed Internet service unit for Comcast. Mr. Butz is responsible for developing marketing strategies and building Comcast’s leadership role in the broadband Internet arena, including the creation of Comcast.net, the company’s broadband customer homepage. In addition, he directs product management, advertising and product and business development. He joined Comcast in 1993 as a director of Business Development for Comcast Cellular Communications. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Miami University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.

George Kliavkoff - Mr. Kliavkoff is Senior Vice President, Business Development at Major League Baseball Advanced Media, where he is responsible for negotiating all deals related to MLB’s interactive media unit, including licensing all technology necessary to build and maintain MLB’s online assets, distributing MLB’s online subscription products and overseeing MLBAM’s strategic relationships and any M&A Work. Before joining MLB Advanced Media, Mr. Kliavkoff ran the business development group for RealNetworks’ consumer division for more than four years. Prior to that, he was an intellectual property and litigation attorney with law firms in Los Angeles and Seattle. Mr. Kliavkoff holds a B.S. in Journalism from Boston University’s College of Communication and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Tanya Van Court - Ms. Van Court is Vice President and General Manager, ESPN Broadband and Interactive Television, where she is responsible for overseeing content served to users via high-speed connections. Ms. Van Court also oversees content created for all interactive television, including personal video recorders and digital cable set-top boxes. Before joining ESPN, she served as in key executive positions at Cablevision Systems, leading the launch of digital cable operations in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey, andserving as VP, Product Management for Optimum Voice. Prior to Cablevision, Ms. Van Court was VP of International Operations for Covad Communications. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in industrial engineering from Stanford University.
